Our work continues in Moore, Oklahoma!

Since a tornado swept through Moore, Oklahoma last month we have been providing funding to local organizations Kinship Circle and Hands Helping Paws. The funds have been used to help with rescue operations, volunteer mobility, and to help provide cats and kittens rescued from the disaster and placed into foster care with spay/neuter surgery.

Immediately after news of the tornado, we set up a hotline for those affected by the disaster with questions about their cats or questions about how to help stranded and feral cats.

LN_OKupdate_SpriteWe’ve also facilitated a donation of 35 traps from Petco Foundation for Safe Haven Animal Rescue and we have partnered with the group to organize on-the-ground trapping and feeding efforts for free-roaming and owned cats in disaster-affected areas.

We’re happy to be working with local sheltering organizations to make sure they can support both displaced pet and feral cats until they can be placed into their new indoor or outdoor homes.
