Cat Advocates to Hold Memorial for Yonkers Cats
It’s hard to believe it’s been over two weeks since the Yonkers, New York Cats were found, at least 25 of them, some in bags hanging from a tree. It’s an image that will never be forgotten.
As the investigation continues, a memorial is being held for the cats—providing an opportunity for advocates and community members to show their respects and mourn the cats. At the memorial this Saturday, May 10, Alley Cat Allies will provide white flowers to participants to hold and place at the site where the cats were found as a symbol of the cats’ innocence.
