The Virginia House of Delegates Agriculture Subcommittee will consider two bills on Monday. Virginia residents: Please take a few moments to take action on these bills today!

  • OPPOSE the Cat Impoundment Bill, HB 1565 This dangerous bill would change the laws relating to animal control, with the result that more cats would be impounded in city and county pounds, where most of the cats would be killed. In recent years, many animal control officers have begun supporting Trap-Neuter-Return to humanely and effectively reduce community cat populations. This bill would kill cats and undermine those animal control officers.
