Bobbi and Connie share a special bond.
We’re happy to share that Bobbi, the kitten who survived a brutal act of cruelty in Bedford, TX, has found his forever home with Connie, who had been caring for Bobbi during his recovery.
This is a bright spot in an otherwise disheartening case. We first shared this story with you back in April, when two kittens were found severely mutilated in an alley in Bedford, Texas. One of the kittens had to be euthanized due to his injuries, and Bobbi underwent intensive surgery. Alley Cat Allies offered a reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible, and paid for Bobbi’s medical care.
Despite the hard work and thorough investigative efforts of the Bedford Police Department, and the support of local and national advocates, the case has gone cold.
“I want to sincerely thank Alley Cat Allies for all of your support, efforts, and concern on behalf of Bobbi throughout his surgeries, the subsequent healing process, and Bedford’s investigation of the criminal abuse that occurred,” Bobbi’s caregiver and now adopter, Connie told us. “There is no question in my mind that he would not be alive today without the support we’ve received from ACA.”
