National Feral Cat Day 2015 was a rousing success! With 990 registered activities in all 50 states and around the world, we reached more people and saved more cats’ lives than ever. Activities ranged from Trap-Neuter-Return initiatives to food drives, awareness raising, shelter building and more. Spay/Neuter clinics were the biggest percentage of activities at over 28%!

New York: The Animal Rights Alliance, Inc. (T.A.R.A.) held 16 spay/neuter days at 9 different locations all throughout October. They performed a total of 754 feline surgeries for 375 unique clients!

Vista, California: Love Your Feral Felines fed 150 community cats in one night and, collaborating with the owner of internet cat celebrities Cole and Marmalade, filmed the event to create an informative video. The video has over 77,000 views!

Frankfort, Kentucky: The Franklin County Humane Society sold unique, handmade feeding bowls and raised a total of $2000 in sales and donations for TNR clinics and related activities. Their educational table display taught hundreds of residents about TNR and caught the attention of the local news.

Avon, North Carolina: Friends of Felines Cape Hatteras Island partnered with the North Carolina State Vet School Mobile Hospital Unit for a week-long TNR clinic. They spayed or neutered 82 cats with the help of veterinary students!

Wilmington, Delaware: Faithful Friends Animal Society staff and volunteers built 95 outdoor cat houses to give to caregivers of local, managed cat colonies!

Las Animas, Colorado: Community Cats of Colorado collaborated with the Animal Assistance Foundation to help TNR 60 outdoor cats and find homes for 20 friendly cats and kittens!

Palm Harbor, Florida: MEOW Now, Inc. celebrated National Feral Cat Day and their new TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) ordinance, by throwing Catoberfest to fundraise for TNR efforts. They exceeded their goal and raised $3330 to benefit cats!

We got to watch National Feral Cat Day events unfold in real-time thanks to social media. People on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram shared how they were celebrating this day for cats by using the #FeralCatDay hashtag.
